Events and activities

There is never a dull moment at Asquith Hall care home.

Asquith Hall places great emphasis on helping our ladies and gentlemen keep mentally and physically active through a number of creative events, activities and facilities.

Enjoying the great outdoors

Being situated opposite the breath-taking Centre Vale Park means the ladies and gentlemen of Asquith Hall are always close to nature.

Our teams regularly facilitate trips to famous events held in the park, including the National Crown Green Bowling Club Championships, Todmorden Country Fair and more.

Asquith Hall has beautiful gardens where our ladies and gentlemen are encouraged to socialise and plant flowers and herbs to brighten up everyone’s day. Plus the gardening club hosts activities indoors and outdoors, allowing joy from gardening all year round.

Days out

We organise visits around the local Todmorden community, including to the cinema, museum, football matches, concerts, church and Daisy’s dementia-friendly café.

In addition, there are a number of opportunities for shopping in nearby Burnley, Halifax and Huddersfield, as well as trips to explore the picturesque Hebden Bridge town.

    Keeping fit, active and pampered

Asquith Hall holds a range of regular exercise groups to meet the needs of individuals, from adapted versions of football to ‘Catch’ – a series of upper body exercises.

Our first-class facilities and practitioners also allow us to offer a number of beneficial therapies, including reflexology and hydrotherapy*.

Furthermore, our qualified hairdresser provides our ladies and gentlemen with professional makeovers from our refurbished hair and nail salon, where manicures are also regular occurrences.

*Please note that hydrotherapy is currently not being offered as the pool is closed.
