Respite care at Asquith Hall
What is respite care?
We understand that taking care of a loved one can be physically and mentally challenging, and recognise the importance of taking a break when needed, for rest and to take care of your wellbeing.
Asquith Hall offers respite care for older and working-aged adults living with complex care needs including mental health illness, challenging behaviour and dementia.
Our experienced care team is available to offer support for your loved one in times of emergency, if they are recovering from an operation or illness, or simply if you need a well-deserved break. We can provide respite care for a short time or over a longer period spanning several months.
The benefits of respite care
Respite care allows you as a carer to have some time to yourself to fully relax; comfortable in the knowledge that your loved one is well looked after by our experienced care team. While they are staying with us, you can call or visit to check in whenever you like to ensure both you and your loved one are happy with the arrangement.
A change of scenery during a respite period can also be really positive, with opportunities for your loved one to engage with new people and explore new activities.
Person-centred care
Asquith Court provides personalised care to all our individuals, whether they are living at our home for the long-term or staying with us for short-term respite care. All our ladies and gentlemen have their own furnished room and we encourage everyone to participate in our events and activities.
